Forgive me for the delay on updating the website. Long hours at work, followed by vacation to Hawaii (it was great!) made this update a long waited one. Thanks for those that kept visiting and emailing me asking for updates.
Now getting to Vega 4... Well, I've found them through the Amazon.com website while searching for similar bands to some other band I can't remember now... their great sound, although not original, caught me with a great surprise.. Amazon also had a great offer for an used CD, right on!
I was planning to cover their album in the blog, when I've found out that the band members had recently announced that the band was over... Vega 4 comes from UK and their sound could be described as a mix of Embrace with Snow Patrol and Interpol and... Maybe I'm missing other bands, but there are so many recently with a similar sound... Nevertheless, Vega 4 blends well those influences in a fairly consistent pop-rock album. Big anthemic songs such as the great opening track "You and Me" which is nicely followed by "Traffic Jam" make you wonder how they weren't discovered before here in US... Maybe because nothing "new" was created, but just a replication, a mix/blend of those other bands...
It's sad that they called it quits... Good luck y'all.
